west of Pier One. Look for a beige building with a black awning. You can't miss it. The meeting will be held in the main showroom at the usual time of 7:30 p.m. After the "official business" portion of the meeting, those interested will be taken to the production area where they will see a demonstration of laser cutting of balsa and light ply material. They will be cutting receiver boxes out of balsa that will be given away on a first come, first serve basis. If you would like to have something special cut, if time permits they can do that as well. If so, you must supply an AutoCAD, PLT or CorelDraw file and the wood to cut from. Please contact Sam ahead of time if you are interested in doing this. If you have any questions about our location or custom cutting, contact Sam.

could vote appropriately. However, after fully understanding the request, Richard (President) stated that a motion was not necessary. In an attempt to maintain order, he asked Gordie to withdrawal his motion, then directed the Treasurer to allocate the amount requested. The funds will be used to reimburse expenses such as grass seed, paint, etc. Gordie concluded with a short request for volunteers. Anyone interested in pitching in see him or Dave Sellars.
Last month Dr. Mike Atkinson presented the idea that the club should sponsor (4) tables at the next Perry Swap Meet. (early March 2002). Unfortunately all the tables were already reserved. However, he was able to talk with someone and arranged space under one of the shelters for free. He is going to bring (4) of his own tables, and setup Friday night. He said if anyone was interested is using some of the table space to contact him.
Last month Richard Wynn (President) announced that the Havana flying club had lost their field. He again prompted a brief discussion about the membership purchasing land. Richard (President) stated that he plans on appointing a committee to actively pursue the possibility. James Cowart presented the idea of contacting St. (Continued on page 3)

He also mentioned the idea of having a "Club Night" at the store where he would open the store after normal business hours exclusively to club members. Ask for Nick at the store for further details.
Treasurer's Report submitted and approved.
Correspondence:
Bad news! Judd Curtis (the club's contact person pertaining to the field lease) said he received complaints about airplanes flying over the Landfill. If you are not sure about the fields boundaries please ASK. Jeff Owens commented on the fact the it is VERY important to keep on Judd's "good side". He remembered a time when the club's contact wasn't, and the club was forced to move for a period of some time.
Old Business:
Gordie Meade announced that the "Helicopter Clinic" would take place on April 20th & 21st. Preparing will start Friday the 19th. It was reminded to the membership, while members may attend as visitors, flying privileges are limited to pilots involved with the event. Gordie asked the President for an amount of $200.00 to start preparing for the event. Richard (President) instructed Gordie to make a motion, and have it seconded, so that the membership
